A pocket-sized lakeside village on the shore of Lake Como in Lombardy's Lecco province, Abbadia Lariana has an unusual number of cafés, restaurants, and churches for its size, with scenic viewpoints in the surrounding hills. Its name derives from a 9th-century abbey, long since destroyed.
