This pocket-sized town in northeast Lithuania sitting directly on the border with Belarus, Adutiškis has the Church of St. Virgin Mary Scapular, built in 1913, and serves as a parish and administrative centre for the surrounding area. The former railway station straddled the border; the Belarusian side still operates, with daily passenger trains stopping there.
