Akchour

A mountain area in Chefchaouen Province, Akchour draws visitors to its waterfalls, which cascade into a natural pool and require a one-to-two hour walk through mountain terrain to reach. A compact cluster of cafés and restaurants serves as a base. The surrounding region includes Talassemtane National Park, designated in 2004 to protect one of Morocco's last stands of threatened fir forest, and the wider area sits near a UNESCO World Heritage site.
