Asquins

This small Burgundy hamlet on the Yonne is the starting point of one of the four main French pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela, and its church of Saint-Jacques-le-Majeur is listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site as part of the Routes of Santiago de Compostela in France. The surrounding area is deep Burgundy wine country, with scenic countryside and the river close at hand.
