Bahri
Sudan
Bahri (formally Khartoum North) forms the northern point of Sudan's tripartite capital alongside Khartoum and Omdurman, connected to both by bridges across the Nile. The city serves as a quieter counterpart to the busier capital districts, with Sufi shrines and the tombs of Sufi leaders giving it a distinct religious character. It is also one of Sudan's major industrial zones and a transport hub linking the capital northward by rail and southward by Nile steamer toward South Sudan.
