Benabarre

Benabarre is the historical and cultural capital of the Ribagorza comarca in the Pre-Pyrenees of Huesca, sitting between the Ésera and Cajigar rivers with the Montsec Range to the south and the Castillo de Laguarres mountains to the north. This little village also served as the ancient capital of the County of Ribagorza and lies within La Franja, where a Ribagorçan dialect of Catalan is spoken alongside Spanish.
