Bogor
Indonesia
Bogor's Kebun Raya botanical garden — one of the oldest and largest in the world — sits at the heart of this large West Javanese city south of Jakarta, alongside a presidential palace that dates to the Dutch colonial era, when the city was known as Buitenzorg ("without worries") and served as the Governor-General's summer residence. The city also served as the medieval capital of the Sunda Kingdom. Frequent rain year-round has earned it the nickname "Rainy City."
