Brandon
Brandon · Canada
Known as The Wheat City, Brandon is Manitoba's second-largest city, sitting on the banks of the Assiniboine River in western Canada. Its compact centre holds a concentration of cafés, restaurants, and historic churches, while the Keystone Centre — one of the largest entertainment, recreation, and agriculture complexes in the country — hosts the Brandon Wheat Kings hockey team and the Royal Manitoba Winter Fair. Incorporated in 1882, the city grew from fur-trade and railway roots and remains the main commercial hub for the surrounding Westman Region.
