A small hamlet in the Lot department of southwestern France, Cabrerets sits on the Célé river within the Causse de Gramat — the largest and most wild of the four Quercy causses. The surrounding area falls within the Causses du Quercy regional natural park, which has held UNESCO Global Geopark status since 2017, and includes two Natura 2000 protected zones. The village's name derives from the Occitan word for goat.
