Carson City
Carson City · United States
Carson City, the capital of Nevada, is a walkable town with a café-filled centre and a former U.S. Mint that now operates as the Nevada State Museum. The mint, built during the silver boom and operational between 1870 and 1893, struck silver and gold coins bearing the "CC" mint mark — including Morgan dollars that remain sought after by collectors. Mountains rise close to town, adding an outdoor dimension to a visit.
