Chauk

This river port on the Irrawaddy in north-central Myanmar, Chauk sits within reach of the ancient temple city of Bagan to the north and is known as an oil-producing town with good transport connections. The Irrawaddy is accessible on foot from the centre, and a bridge links the town to Seikphyu on the opposite bank.
