Chenzhou

This large city in southern Hunan Province where several rivers meet mountain terrain at the junction of Hunan, Guangdong, and Jiangxi provinces, Chenzhou sits amid the Nanling mountain range with waterways including the Chun, Lei, and Wu rivers threading through its predominantly hilly landscape. Historically known as Guiyang, its name character — found nowhere else in China — translates roughly as "city in the forest."
