Chunarughat
Bangladesh
Satchari National Park, one of Bangladesh's national parks, sits within this upazila in the Sylhet Division, where tea gardens, rubber plantations, and sugarcane fields line the banks of the Khowai River. The area takes its name from the lime traders — known as chunaru — who once brought limestone by river from Tripura to the old settlement then called Torfar. Stone tools from early human habitation have been found within the park at Chaklapunji, adding an archaeological dimension to the natural landscape.
