Clusone

Particularly photogenic small town in Lombardy's Val Seriana, Clusone sits along the River Serio in mountain country with scenic viewpoints and a compact historic centre holding an unusual concentration of churches for its size, alongside cafés and restaurants. It holds honorary city status, granted by presidential decree in 1957 in fulfilment of a promise made by Napoleon in 1801, and is listed among I Borghi più belli d'Italia — Italy's register of its most beautiful villages.
