Convencion

Convención, a small municipality in Colombia's Norte de Santander department, is considered the largest producer of panela in the department and one of the leading producers in the country. Set at a mid-elevation with a temperate climate, it is also the birthplace of filmmaker Ciro Durán. Mountains rise close to the town, and a water source sits at its edge.
