Çorum is a highland city in northern Anatolia known for its Hittite and Phrygian archaeological sites, its thermal springs, and leblebi — roasted chickpeas that have become a nationally recognised snack associated with the city. Set at elevation in Turkey's central Black Sea region, it also serves as a practical stopping point on the route between Ankara and the Black Sea coast.
