Da Nang

A large coastal city in central Vietnam with a dense café and restaurant scene, long beaches within walking distance, and mountains close by offering scenic viewpoints. Da Nang sits midway between Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, making it a practical base for reaching the Cham ruins of My Son, the old town of Hoi An, and the imperial capital of Hue — all UNESCO World Heritage sites in the wider region. The city hosted APEC in 2017 and is one of Vietnam's seven centrally administered municipalities.
