The Cagsawa Ruins, a partially buried 18th-century church destroyed by a Mayon Volcano eruption, draw visitors to this pocket-sized Albay municipality with the volcano's cone rising directly behind the remaining bell tower — one of the most photographed views in the Bicol region. Daraga also sits at the foothills of Mayon Volcano as one of five municipalities sharing jurisdiction over its slopes, and hosts the Bicol International Airport, making it a practical base for exploring the area.
