Delph

Village in the Pennines of Greater Manchester whose 19th-century centre has changed little, Delph sits on the River Tame with a concentration of listed historic buildings and several churches for a settlement its size. A Roman fort from the first century AD at nearby Castleshaw adds an older layer of history, and the surrounding upland terrain draws regular visitors with cameras.
