Pakistan
Dera Bugti, a town in Pakistan's Balochistan province, is the historic seat of the Bugti tribe and became a separate district in 1983. The surrounding district holds several major natural gas fields, including the Sui gas field where gas was first discovered in 1951. The area also gained paleontological significance through the discovery of fossils of Bugti Theriium, a prehistoric mammal named for the region. Mountains are visible from the town, and water is within walking distance.
