This tiny medieval village in Seine-et-Marne, Île-de-France, with a Gothic church, a château, and a covered market hall that hosts an annual December poultry fair centred on the local Gâtinaise breed. The château was once owned by the composer Jules Massenet, and the village was a fief of Anne de Pisseleu, mistress of François I. A Bourdelle museum-garden, connected to the sculptor Antoine Bourdelle through his daughter and son-in-law, adds a further cultural draw, alongside a modest café and restaurant scene for a settlement of this size.
