Eildon
Murrindindi · Australia
A little Victorian village on the edge of Lake Eildon, set in mountain terrain that gives it a strong visual character. Named in 1846 by settlers who saw a resemblance to the Eildon Hills near Abbotsford in Scotland, the town sits on the Goulburn Valley Highway in the Shire of Murrindindi, on land traditionally belonging to the Taungurung people of the Kulin nation.
