Frontignan, a coastal town in the Hérault department of southern France, is the home of Muscat de Frontignan, an AOC sweet wine made solely from the Muscat grape. The town sits on the Mediterranean shore, drained by the Canal du Rhône à Sète, and its compact centre holds a concentration of cafés and restaurants. The surrounding area includes several Natura 2000 protected sites, among them coastal lagoons and wetlands.
