Gremi

Built in 1565 by Levan, King of Kakheti, the Gremi complex is a Georgian architectural monument standing on a high hill above the right bank of the Intsoba River, near the confluence of the Bolia and Intsoba rivers in Kvareli municipality. Its interior murals were completed in 1577. The site sits close to mountains and within walking distance of the river below.
