Hanam

A city immediately east of Seoul with a dense café and restaurant scene, sitting on the Han River and ringed by mountains including Geomdan, Geumam, and Namhan. Hanam was designated a city in 1989, having previously been part of Gwangju County, and may have been the site of Hanam Wiryeseong, the ancient capital of the Baekje kingdom. UNESCO World Heritage sites lie within the wider region.
