The main gateway village for North Cape — the northernmost point in Europe reachable by car — Honningsvåg sits on the water along the southeastern shore of Magerøya island in Norway's Finnmark county. A stop on the Hurtigruten Coastal Express, it has a little but real café and restaurant scene for a place its size, mountain terrain in the surrounds, and strong photographic appeal. The town also claims Bamse, the dog who became mascot of the Free Norwegian Forces in the Second World War.
