Jaszbereny
Jász-Nagykun-Szolnok · Hungary
Jászberény, often called the capital of the Jászság region, is a Hungarian market town whose history is bound up with the Jász people, who settled here around the 13th century. The Jász Museum preserves their history and traditions, and the town's most famous symbol is the Lehel Horn, a medieval artefact. A Baroque Franciscan monastery of medieval origin anchors the town's religious heritage, while a local campus of Szent István University (MATE) gives it a contemporary educational role.
