This little town on the northwestern edge of Tirana, Kamez has a modest central core with cafés and restaurants, and sits within reach of both water and the surrounding mountains. It is home to the Agricultural University of Tirana, Albania's first university, opened here in 1952, and was among the applicants for the 2019 European Green Capital Award.
