Kassandreia
Χαλκιδική · Greece
A small waterfront town on the Kassandra peninsula in Chalkidiki, northern Greece, with a café and restaurant scene and several historic churches that punch above its size. It serves as the seat of the Kassandra municipality and takes its name from the ancient city of Cassandrea — originally Potidaea — enlarged by the Macedonian ruler Cassander. The town was known as Valta until 1955, when the ancient name was revived.
