Kastelruth

Photogenic village in the South Tyrolean Dolomites, Kastelruth sits at around 1,000 metres elevation near the Seiser Alm alpine meadow and is a recognised member of Italy's "most beautiful villages" list. It has an unusual concentration of cafés, restaurants, and historic churches for its size, with vineyards in the surrounding area. Part of its municipal territory falls within the Sciliar nature park, making it a practical base for both summer and winter exploration of the wider Dolomites region.
