Kedougou

Senegal

This town in southeastern Senegal, close to the borders of Mali and Guinea, sits near a waterfall of more than 50 metres and dense forest, with mountains visible from the area. As the main urban centre of the Kédougou region, it serves as a base for exploring a part of Senegal ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites, and has drawn enough independent traveller interest to earn its own Wikivoyage entry.
