Kilronan
Ireland
The main settlement on Inishmore, the largest of the Aran Islands off County Galway, Kilronan is a compact fishing and tourism village set at the water's edge. Ferries connect it to Doolin in County Clare and Rossaveal in County Galway. It sits within the Gaeltacht, where Irish is the legally recognised place name — Cill Rónáin — and a significant share of residents speak the language daily, making it a destination for summer Irish-language schools.
