Compact city on the southeastern shore of Upper Klamath Lake, at the foothills of the Cascade Range in southern Oregon, with cafés and restaurants concentrated in a walkable centre. Founded in 1867 as Linkville — named for the Link River falls on which it sits — and renamed Klamath Falls in 1893, the city is also home to the Oregon Institute of Technology.
