Krivi Vir
Serbia
Krivi Vir, a village in the Boljevac municipality of Serbia's Zaječar District, sits along the Crna Reka river and holds a notable place in Serbian history as the site where the Timok Uprising broke out and as a military camp during the First Serbian Uprising of 1804–13. The surrounding area is a traditional livestock-farming region that gave rise to a distinct local sheep breed, the Krivovir žuja. The Lozica Monastery and the Pećura spring are also found here.
