Nicknamed "Little Kraków," this medieval Royal Free Town in southeastern Poland earned its reputation through a preserved old town with Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architecture, a walkable centre with cafés and churches, and a long history as a hub for cloth and Hungarian wine trade. Granted royal status by Kazimierz Wielki in 1367, Krosno is also known for its glassmaking tradition and as a centre of motorcycle speedway racing, with mountains close by and UNESCO World Heritage sites in the wider region.
