la Ràpita
Spain
A coastal town in Catalonia's Montsià region, la Ràpita sits at the edge of the Ebro Delta beside the Port dels Alfacs lagoon, with a walkable centre full of cafés and restaurants. Founded by Charles III as a colonial trade port and built in neoclassical style — though never fully completed after his death — it remains an active fishing port known for shellfish and prawns, as well as for rice and salt production.
