Lancovo
Slovenia
A modest settlement on the right bank of the Sava River in Slovenia's Upper Carniola region, Lancovo sits opposite Radovljica with river views and access to the surrounding hills. Its late-Gothic church of St. Lambert, built around 1500 and remodelled in the 17th century, anchors the village, while the ruins of Lipnica Castle — first recorded in 1263 — stand on the ridge above. The wider region is ringed by UNESCO World Heritage sites.
