Las Tunas
Cuba
Known informally as the "Capital of Cuban Sculpture," Las Tunas is a city in central-eastern Cuba whose walkable centre holds a concentration of cafés and restaurants. Founded in 1796 and named after the cactus that still grows across the city, it served as the capital of Las Tunas Province and was officially called Victoria de Las Tunas from 1869 to 1976. The city is also nicknamed "El balcón del Oriente Cubano" — the balcony of eastern Cuba.
