Levuka
Fiji
Levuka, on the eastern coast of Ovalau island in Fiji, became a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2013 for its exceptional record of late colonial Pacific port towns — and served as Fiji's capital until 1877. The town sits directly on the water with mountain terrain rising behind it, giving it a strong visual character. It remains the main settlement on Ovalau and the economic centre of the island.
