Maardu
Estonia
A town on the shore of Muuga Bay in northern Estonia, a short distance east of Tallinn, Maardu is home to the Port of Muuga, the largest cargo port in Estonia. South of the main road to Narva stands Maardu Manor, one of the oldest preserved baroque manor houses in Estonia, with origins traced to 1389; the current building dates from the 1660s, and it was here that the first Bible printed in Estonian was funded in 1739.
