Small Serbian town on the water with a café and restaurant scene that is well stocked for its size, Mačvanska Mitrovica sits within the Sremska Mitrovica municipality in Vojvodina. Known before 1918 as Podrinskа Mitrovica, it served as a municipal seat until 1965, when it was absorbed into the wider Sremska Mitrovica municipality.
