Mbinda
Congo - Brazzaville
From 1962 to 1991, Mbinda served as the southern terminus of one of the world's longest aerial cableways — a roughly 75-kilometre manganese-ore transport line operated by the mining company Comilog — and the starting point of the COMILOG railway toward Mongo-Bélo. This tiny town in Congo's Niari département sits close to the Gabon border, with mountains visible from the town and water within walking distance.
