Mithymna

This waterfront village on the northwest coast of Lesbos, Mithymna — still widely known by its older name Molyvos — sits beneath a medieval fortress that rises above a modest harbour used by fishing boats and tourist craft. The village has an unusually dense café and restaurant scene for its size, several historic churches, and scenic views across the bay. Part of the municipality of West Lesbos since 2019, it was an independent municipality before that reform.
