Mosset

Small rural hamlet in the Conflent country of the Pyrénées-Orientales, Mosset sits within the Parc naturel régional des Pyrénées catalanes and is drained by the Castellane river and several smaller watercourses. The surrounding area falls within two Natura 2000 protected zones on the Madres-Coronat massif, and the wider Pyrenean region holds several UNESCO World Heritage sites. The village lies close to mountain terrain and within the orbit of the market town of Prades.
