Naoussa
Ημαθία · Greece
Wine production, a traditional carnival, and a ski resort on the Vermio Mountains make Naoussa one of Central Macedonia's more varied tiny cities. The Arapitsa river runs through the town, and vineyards cover the surrounding slopes. Near the ancient site of Mieza — where Aristotle ran a school attended by Alexander the Great — the town also carries a significant historical record, including a 1955 royal designation as a Heroic City for its role in the Greek War of Independence.
