Nea Selefkia
Θεσπρωτία · Greece
This small coastal village just outside Igoumenitsa in the Thesprotia region of northwestern Greece, Nea Selefkia sits right on the water and has a handful of cafés, restaurants, and churches for its size. The village was settled between 1923 and 1929 by Greek Orthodox refugees from the Cilicia region of Asia Minor — particularly from the area around ancient Seleucia — and their descendants still mark the feast of Saint George each year with a procession of riders in traditional dress.
