This walkable town in eastern Serbia, near the triple border with Romania and Bulgaria, with a centre well supplied with cafés and restaurants. Negotin is the birthplace of the composer Stevan Mokranjac and has been part of Serbia since 1833, when it began a period of steady growth. The wider region holds several UNESCO World Heritage sites, and the town sits within reach of both water and mountain terrain.
