Nonthaburi

This riverside city on the Chao Phraya, Nonthaburi sits just north of Bangkok and is served by the Chao Phraya Express Boat as well as the MRT Purple and Pink Lines. The most populous city municipality in Thailand outside Bangkok, it functions largely as a suburb of the capital but has its own cluster of temples — including Wat Chaloem Phra Kiat, Wat Chomphuwek, and Wat Sangkhathan — alongside local markets along the waterfront.
