Nuoro

Hometown of Grazia Deledda — the only Italian woman to win the Nobel Prize in Literature — Nuoro is a town on the slopes of Mount Ortobene in central-eastern Sardinia, with a walkable centre full of cafés, historic churches, and some of the island's most important museums.
