Nynaeshamn

Sweden

Pocket-sized Swedish harbour town on the Baltic coast, Nynäshamn comes alive in summer when its waterfront fills with boats and the cafés and eateries around the port draw both locals and visitors. It served as the venue for the 1912 Olympic sailing regatta and remains a busy ferry hub, with regular departures to Gotland and routes to Gdańsk in Poland. A commuter rail line connects it to Stockholm, roughly an hour to the north.
